Why the Silence in the 3rd?
What about the campaign no one wants to discuss this year? Why does no one care to talk about the fact we have two candidates running for the 3rd District Congressional seat right now?We should talk about it, and we should talk about why one of those candidates seems to have received a free ride so far. Just so you don’t think I’m shilling for one candidate over the other, that free ride essentially adds up to a free ride for both candidates. Where are the debates? Where are the newspaper columns?
You’d think Representative John Boozman thinks he deserves a cake walk back to Washington this mid-term election. Truth be told, he deserves to undergo a serious grilling from the voting public about what it is he’s actually accomplished while in the inner sanctum.
If you look at his voting record, the man has served as a rubber stamp for nearly every cockeyed, hairbrained idea to ooze from the White House. He supports the continued mindless slaughter of Americans — both youth and the working class in the National Guard — in Iraq, a pricetag that has hit Arkansas particularly hard. He was a good buddy of now-disgraced Texas Congressman Tom DeLay, and to date, hasn’t given back that Abramoff tainted money donated to him by Mr. DeLay. Hell, he won’t even talk about it. We’re losing the war on drugs in America (if you believe the latest government reports) and he continues to hold anti-meth meetings and seminars. Is all that effort going to waste? Is he accomplishing anything? He’s signed on with measures to screw the middle class when it comes to filing bankruptcy. He’s against raising the minimum wage even though this state went ahead and raised it anyway. Where was he when all of us took it in the chops at the gas pump? Did he really think the government should turn over military land to the oil companies for new refineries? What has he done about alternative fuels? Does he really think we need to axe the capital gains tax which hits the weatthy, but not hard enough to hurt it? Does he really believe in cutting the estate tax that effects nobody but corporate farms and corporate bank accounts? Unemployment is up in Arkansas. We’re losing more of our people overseas in a mindless war and George W. Bush thinks he should have the title of “Emperor” rather than “President” and what kind of leadership has the incumbent shown in the race? None. And he sits quietly with everyone saying that “he’s such a nice guy, wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
Poll numbers should an amazing drop in faith across this nation for the policies of the White House. More people than ever before tell pollsters they no longer want to be identified as “Republicans.”
The Democrats will most likely take control of Congress in something like 90 days and our incumbent, to date, hasn’t had to pay any kind of price for the deadly mistakes that he’s endorsed.
We don’t want the Democrat to have a free ride either. What’s he done? He sure seems to have stayed quiet. Even his campaign ads don’t mention Mr. B by name. He can’t even do that much, can’t call the man who stood by while all this happened to account in the eyes and within earshot of the voters. Doesn’t he know people are sick of it? Why doesn’t he punch this guy in the head? Sometimes being polite does a disservice to America. Sometimes sitting idly by while Nero fiddles is as much of a crime as the fiddling and burning itself.
Shouldn’t it be Mr. Anderson’s duty to call Mr. Boozman on the carpet for what’s happenend on Boozman’s watch? Anderson should understand that — he belongs to the armed forces and surely has training in responsibility.
Has the electoral game become so much of a horse race, a gambling jag at the track for big-money contributors that we’ve lost sight of accountability? Even in the campaign, that’s what it looks like. If someone doesn’t do that, then the race in the 3rd Congressional District is nothing more than either a passing fancy or a very, very bad joke.
How about both candidates saying something to each other and to the public? How about the docile and corporate owned Northwest Arkansas media pick itself up off it’s lazy tuchis and share some of the information with us so we can make an informed decision at the ballot box this November?
Remember, we have a race going on — not a visit to a petting zoo.

It’s NWA and Silence of the Lambs. The press has no intention of putting Boozman on call for his servitude to Bush and the corporate cronnies they serve.
Afterall, Boozman is a nice guy. And nice guys finish last…that include every area of Boozman’s district…except NWA.
Every wonder why Boozman has offices in Fayetteville and Lowell - Hey Boozman, there are 8 other counties out there - but you wouldn’t know that - since you haven’t brought anything home for those folks.
You did however manage to bring 39 million dollars of road dollars to widen Walton Blvd - right in front of Wal-Mart. Lucky Wal-Mart.

When is Woody Anderson gonna take off the gloves? Lord there is enough out there to make the marshmellow man Boozman uncomfortable. How about his record on vets? Come on Woody, this is war and you got combat experience…start fighting like man.

Boozman is as worthless as tits on a bore. Here in NWA we’ve got gridlock from exit 76 to 87 everyday. What does Boozman bring back in the form of highway dollars? 39 million dollars to widen Walton Blvd for Wal-Mart. Lucky Wal-Mart.
Ya, and I’d like to know why every other Republican Congress critters who has supported this criminal Bush over 95% of the time isn’t on the ropes with the voters. I’ll tell you why, the press. Boozman’s a nice guy is all I hear. So? Nice guys finish last in Washington and I’m sick and tired of riding Boozman’s kaboos and I’m sick and tired of the press not calling him on his absolute servitude to Bush. You would think the fastest growing area in Arkansas would demand more of their representation.

Man, you libs are just too funny. You actually think this Willet-chosen pigeon will knock over a popular Republican incumbent? You been hittin’ the happy juice too much in Fayettenam. Donchall have a sit-in to go to or something? Have you read the poll numbers that show Hutchinson closing the gap? Wat you say to that? Has anyone heard anything from this guy? He’s probably another shill who wants the gays to get married.

Hutchinson closing the gap? What you smoking? With about 1.5 mil in the bank and more coming when Bubba hits town Thursday, Beebe is gonna bury Hutchinson at the bottom of the sea. He’ll have plenty of help from Bush, who will be the albatross that drowns your boy.
As far as Woody, who knows. All I know is that Boozman, like another Anon has said has been as about worthless as tits on a bore.

Hey, Anderson is no shrill. He’s a good guy, a Army Captian - pro-life and pro-guns and if I recall believe marriage is between a man and a women. A little right to my centrist leanings, but anything has got to be better than Mr. 95%er, I love Bush. He gave a blank check to this administration and should be held accountable.
