Welcome to Arkansas Politics

Introduction from the Web Editor

Welcome to Arkansaspolitics.com. My name is Cris Seligman. A few of you probably know me from my occasional blogging on the Arkansastonight.com website. That’s been interesting, but I’ve decided to make this my new home. My job here is to make sure you have a great front page, complete with the latest political news from across Arkansas and the nation. Yes, we’ll focus on the campaign season here in the Natural State because we’ve made it through Labor Day and the real fight has just about started. Those of you familiar with me know I brook no fibbing or propagandizing. I’m also not affiliated with any particular political party. I have no problem punching you in the head, regardless of party, if you choose to do nothing more then muddy things up by telling whoppers or by engaging in personal, partisan attacks without showing the rest of the audience some regard toward the actual issues at hand. We see a lot of that kind of monkey-business during the campaigns, and I’ve seen a lot myself in just the past few months. If you’re a party operative, you’d better stick up your hand and call it out loud and clear — we’d love to hear what you have to say, read your writing, but we also want to know your biases.I want to share with you some of the basic rules of the road at this blog. There are some do’s and some don’t’s. The don’t’s are pretty easy to remember. If you wouldn’t say/write it with you family listening/reading (your mother-in-law) don’t do it here. Keep the profanity to a minimum, or I will either edit or discard your remarks. Also, we don’t want any baseless personal attacks on anyone here. Don’t libel anyone, don’t commit acts of slander. You know who you are.Do comment on the stories and opinions we’ve posted here and feel free to submit your own articles, editorial and stories. We’ll accept them, read them and make a decision on whether to publish them, based on our interest and how we feel about the material.

You’ll notice we have open comments. You can post comments, feel free to stay anonymous, and at least for now, we’ll try having the comments “unmoderated” so more of you can jump in and stoke the debate.

This is a truly a labor of love, and I want to thank the new management of this site for asking me to participate. It’ll be the biggest “blog” related thing I’ve done, and I intend to enjoy it.

Just remember — speak the truth, be honest about how you feel, and be prepared to back it up with a logical explanation. If you can’t do that, maybe you’ll learn more about your own political inclinations and thought here.

Chris

Arkansas’s “super delegates”. I would like to remind everybody who are “super delegates” are so they know they will be held accountable.

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/delegates/candidates/hillary-clinton/#ar

Blanche Lincoln
Mike Beebe
Mark Pyor
Marion Berry
Mike Ross
Vic Snyder
are all elected officials and Arkansas clearly voted for Hillary. I expect for my local super delegate to vote with Arkansas wishes. That being for Hillary Rodham Clinton. If anybody sneaks over and votes for Barack, it will not be forgotten come election time. Represenatives should represent.
