Witchita Wranglers hog tie Spingdale
There has been a lot of back and forth about the real costs of bringing the Wranglers to Springdale. Will it be profitable? Will the projected numbers be there? Does Springdale come out the big winner, or will a disproportionate amount of the projective revenue go to surrounding communites with better shopping, hotel accomodations and eateries? See Rogers and Fayetteville
The Springdale City Council voted 6-1 on Tuesday night to approve a 20-year lease agreement to bring the Wichita Wranglers baseball team to the city’s planned $33 million stadium. The baseball stadium is the cornerstone for Springdale’s planned retail and entertainment district at the southwest corner of Interstate 540 and U.S. 412.
That’s all moot now. They are coming, and only time will tell if 6 out of the 7 City Council members were right, or lapping up some Kool-Aide offered up by developers and special interests. Let’s hope that this isn’t a case of be careful what you wish for. That all being said, baseball is my live and can’t wait. Go Wranglers

I’m a big Royals fan living in Kansas City, and I love the NW Arkansas area. I was very happy when I heard that the Wranglers where moving to Springdale. I will make an annual visit to watch the up & coming prospects and enjoy all the outdoor activities your part of the state has to offer.
See you soon!
