Desperate times means desperate measures for the 30%…ers and Bush. Ya, I know it’s getting close to the elections and what’s a President who has failed miserably in a rush to “war” and who has created more terrorist than ever EXISTED before 9/11 to do, but say, hey, I’ve done a hecka of job in keeping America safe? Problem is, can this new/old political strategy work? Just how many times can you cry wolf and pat yourself on the back at the same time without the American people looking Bush and this Administration right in the eye and say….ya right! Only time will tell.

AP - ATLANTA - President Bush asserted Thursday that enormous strides have been made in improving security lapses revealed by the Sept. 11 attacks, deflecting criticism that significant gaps remain. “Over the past five years, we have waged an unprecedented campaign against terrorism at home and abroad and that campaign has succeeded in protecting the homeland,” Bush said. “We’ve learned the lessons of Sept. the 11th.”
