No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Some things you read leave a bad taste in your mouth or lays on your gut like an old greasy donut. I came across this article earlier this week, and found that this is my “greasy donut” of the week. Many of us have “done the right” thing and found ourselves regretting doing it, because of the unforeseen consequences of our moment of honor. In government, the “Whistle Blower” protection act was suppose to prevent the fear of doing the right thing, that the act of whistle blowing was a honorable thing and a needed check and balance which would keep our government and corporations from breaking the law. This is a story about an NSA (National Security Agency) who suffered retribution and personal and financial destruction, because he had the courage to step up and call this Administration’s actions in the NSA illegal.
