Illegal Immigration NWA style
It is rumored that a strong and well known NWA Republican may jump in and run against Pryor in ‘08. Could it be Roger’s Mayor Steve Womack? His continuted beating of the “Illegal Immigration Drum” makes me wonder. If not, I hope the Mayor will check his ego at the door, sit down with the Rogers School Superintendent, and do some basic math. Womack’s got the numbers (maybe they are right) on dollars expended in social services but he better factor in schools, retail, and the other economic engines that have made his city and NWA one of the fastest going regions in the country. If not, he may be one of those bright ambitious poltitican’s who at the end of the day may well say “be careful what you wish for”.

Bold, what about Halter? You think he dropped almost a million dollars to be LT without some othe motive? I’m not sure he, his ego or Ron Oliver’s will let him wait 4 long years to get back to Washington.

I remarked a few days ago on another blog
that Womack is profiling and it should be obvious he is spinning his wheels. He wants to make landlords immigration agents. SCOTUS will slam that one out the court like a long, slow tennis serve. All his police dept’s efforts will be in vain, he knows that too. Deporting illegals is simply a revolving door. He doesn’t have the authority nor power to go after major employers so what’s left? Profiling for a run at Senator. He could raise the bucks, he could get the NWA vote and all that’s left is just part of Central Arkansas, and just a little of So.Arkansas for him to capture 50.1%.
A lot can happen between now and ‘08- like Jesus Jim Holt forming a 3rd Party which could keep Womack out of the winning. Holt would do it too and pay his family members well to be on his staff. He should be sufficiently broke by then to try anything. Holt hasn’t held a real job since he left the Army. Welcome to the monkey house.
