Last month, 70 percent of Republicans approved of how the President was handling the war; now, just 47 percent do. ……… Conservative support for President Bush’s handling of Iraq has also fallen, from 60 percent in November to 34 percent now. And only 15% of the American people believe we are WINNING the war. That would be Rush and friends. The trajedy here is that Bush is going to “stay the course” and we can expect no dramatic changes in policy, despite America’s outrage and the men and women who are dying everyday. This is about G.W. Bush and nobody else. After all there is a “legacy” to consider.

Americans believe the war in Iraq is going badly and getting worse, and think it’s time for the U.S. either to change its strategy or start getting out, according to a CBS News poll.
