Here I go again, agreeing with Pat Buchannan. Buchannan talks about the war and his opposition, which of course is where I’ve been since the very beginning, (after the acknowledgement of no WMD’s) thinking it was folly to try and force feed democracy on folks who are fighting over who’s the real Mohammad. As well, Buchannan talks about “free trade” at length here and if you’re a regular reader, you know that I think free trade has gone amuck and is responsible for the decimation of our middle class and the skyrocketing of illegal immigration as American companies try to stay competitive when facing the impossible scenario of foreign company competitors who can pay .25 cents an hour. The fix was in and the odds against American company interests were thrown out the window with NAFTA. I am not an isolationist, but I am a realist and it is time to close the free trade door, get our fiscal house in order, and map out a fair and equable trade plan and present it to the world. If we do not, our grandchildren will not be living in the America you, and I know, it is that important.
