NWA has much at stake with Legislature
Doug Thompson over at the Morning News in NWA talks at length about what may happen in this next legislative session and the stakes, which NWA may have in it. Included in that is Benton County, well, Benton County made their bed and they should be forced to roll around in it. Benton County has not sent a democratic legislator to the Capitol in over 15 years…not one. Not one member of the Benton County delegation (9 strong) is part of the majority party. Not one will be able to cross the isle to the majority leadership as one of their own and pled Benton Counties considerable needs. Because of the churches and the likes of the Ronnie Floyd’s, Benton County finds itself isolated, and hated and the people of Benton Country will now have to watch as the economic engine of this state takes a back seat at the table that really counts. The Benton County voters, who took the Republican bait hook line and sinker, now find themselves without a real voice in a state where they contribute much and may well be punished for their zealousness and servitude.
