Great piece from the Texarkana Gazette - No-pay Incentive - I couldn’t agree more with you guys, if I’m held accountable for my actions, I expect our elected leaders to be held to the same standards and accountabliity.

Bill will deprive unethical lawmakers of federal pensions

The working stiffs of this nation—that’s us regular folks—know what will happen if we do something unethical or criminal on our jobs. It won’t be pretty. It surely won’t be profitable.

If we defraud our employers, pad our pockets on the sly with someone who does business with our employer, then lie about it, we are going to get fired at best and go to jail for thievery at worst. We certainly are not apt to be able to carry our fringe benefits, like pensions, with us when we get booted out the door.
