If you can’t win, get out

Amen! If you can’t win, get out

You would think that grateful Iraqis would take the opportunity to embrace freedom, rebuild their nation and make it the democratic beacon of the Middle East so we could all live happily ever after. Wrong. The various religious sects, tribes, political parties and gangs of Iraq have instead decided to duke it out for control of the country. This is why President George W. Bush’s plan for Iraq (which he’s been hawking everywhere this side of Sesame Street ) is almost certain to fail.

Let us say civil war.

It’s a civil war unlike our own civil war which
was fought over economics or put simply, money and property. The Iraqis are fighting among themselves, as they have for a few centuries, over the correct interpretation of their scriptures, the Sharia. This fight iwill continue for a long time and all the military-imposed democracy American taxpayers can afford is not going to change it. Which brings us to the real travesty of this so-called war and that is blind, ignorant American agression, thinking all that oil was just there for the taking, just a thousand or so troops would need to die, Paul Bremmer that failure supremeo, would only need issue his famous 100 Orders and they would lay down and the U.S. would be heralded as Liberating Conquers. Didn’t happen, won’t happen, never in our life times cause Sharia is more important than American needs for the rush of another oil fix. There is no graceful way to withdraw, or cut n’run, surrender, defeat, or whatever spin any one-sided source want to put on it. Just chalk it up as one huge mistake for American Media which is responsible in the first place.
