The Unraveling of Dick Cheney
After six years of living in a world were the “word police”, whose messages were always about manipulation, cover-up and justifying a means to the end, even if lying was the vehicle is finally coming to an end. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. That light increasingly for Vice President Dick Cheney is looking more and more like a freight train. Cheney, when it’s all out, will make Nixon look like a cherub. Nixon was paranoid and extremely insecure, Cheney is a sociopath, a man who cares nothing about anybody or anything except what he wants. His lust for power and control was bound to fail in a democracy, I guess, better late than never.
While Dick Cheney undoubtedly remains the most powerful vice president this nation has ever seen, it’s becoming increasingly unclear whether anyone outside the White House believes a word he says.
…For example, Cheney ordered his staff to lie to reporters about the contents of a highly classified National Intelligence Estimate.)
And former aide Cathie Martin’s testimony on Friday validated the most cynical conspiracy theories about how Cheney manipulates the press.
