UP  Mike Beebe - He’s getting the grocery tax reduced. Now, if he gets school facilities paid for and the state out of court on education, and if we land that Toyota plant, well, I suppose his second month in the Governor’s Mansion is too soon to begin pondering his place in history. We can probably wait eight years to get serious on that.

 DOWN - Mike Huckabee - He may as well run for president. He’s toast in Arkansas over spending that emergency money and crushing those hard drives. His presidential campaign amounts to a long shot that banks everything on Iowa. He intends to shoot the works there in hopes of a surprisingly good showing that would give him what the first George Bush, in 1980, called “big mo,” which, by the way, he lost days later in New Hampshire. Your Boy Mike is an extreme underdog, though stranger things have happened. That woman astronaut in diapers - who could have predicted that?
