LITTLE ROCK -Â Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee says he has no plans to try for a U-S Senate seat, if his bid for the Republican nomination falls short. Huckabee says he knows rumors persist that he may drop out of the presidential race to challenge current Democratic Senator Mark Pryor.
Huckabee said, quote, ”I don’t see it happening.” The former governor has trailed in polls and in fundraising compared with better-known candidates like former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Arizona Senator John McCain and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Maybe the guy has a little more snap than I thought. Although Pryor has prompted varying degrees of dissatisfaction among some Democrats, he’s solid for re-election in the general election.
