David Sanders - and betrayal

Boy, this is a nasty little hit piece presented to us this morning by the ever predictable David Sanders. He’s not judging mind you, like all good Republican drones Sanders is saying Atty General Dustin McDaniel has some “splaining” to do about his upcoming divorce. Seem Sanders is offended and felt mislead by McDaniel during the campaign and that McDaniel’s marriage was all hunky dory. Sanders is so out of touch. Those of us who have had the misfortune of a divorce in their lives know that you try to make it work, over and over again. You have good days, weeks, or months and then it falls apart. Then you try to pick it up again. Divorce 101 Davey boy. It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s very personal.

Sanders goes on to lament about poor former Senator Tim Hutchinson and what a beating he took for his divorce after a 29 year union. I’m gonna grab the crayons for this one Davey. Hutchinson was a former Christian preacher who ran and ran and ran on family values. Hutchinson was doing the wild thing, while married with an aide 20 years his junior in his employ and Hutchinson was prosecuting and judging Clinton for his adultery during the same time ole Tim was bedding his aide. That’s the difference and it’s huge. The fortunate thing for McDaniel in the next election, is he is in a state dominated by Democrats who understand the human condition, and he never ran as a “Christian Conservative” who’s family values were “do as I say, not as I do. Oh, one more thing Davey, if you are so dissapointed in McDaniel, does that mean you cast your vote for him? If you did, then you did the right thing….

One never knows where the republican Christian right will come down on divorce. They’ll bash some for divorce (McDaniel) and then they’ll disparage others for holding their marriage together….like Hillary Clinton.

I’m looking forward to Sanders’ Divorce Part II column. I assume he will express concern for the brazen disregard of marital vows by Newt Gingrich and Rudy Guiliani.

Anon,

I think it’ll be a cold day in hell before any unkind and unchristian words will be uttered by Sanders - i.e. Guiliani, Gingrich, McCain or Fred Thompson, who has some nice looking 39 year old arm candy trophy wife (the second). Not bad for an old geezer. What do ya say Mr. Sanders…are you feeling betrayed or dissapointed in your Republican field.

Maybe Sanders likes the chances of Mitt the Morman.

Yeah…..gotta give Mitt credit. He’s been married but once. Oh….Wait….there’s that problem with his spiritual life. The fundie republican pulpits have long labeled Mormonism a “cult”. What say ye, David?

Sanders should be ashamed and embarrased. Would he like others sticking their noses in his personal life?
