EDITORIALS : Heroes deserve better
It’s nice to see an op-ed piece like this coming out of NWA. But, repectfully, the Army conducted 5 - yes 5 reports on the friendly fire death of Pat Tillman. Each investigation and re-investigation was designed to make sure that the questions asked by the author never got answered; What did they know - and when did they know it ? The lies to the family and the country were told to protect Tillman’s hero image and prevent a huge blow to the Army’s recruiting efforts if it was found that Tillman’s death was from friendly fire. It was political, and how sad is that for our country and the Tillman family?
