Lapses in memory, sagging morale
Boy, has this guy got it right. The Department of Justice, with it’s “I don’t recall…I don’t remember…”adnausem defense of it’s crimminal activity has given a green light for any federally indicted character to use the same defense. If there are no consequences for actions…simply because you don’t remember doing “that”, than what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. The Department of Justice has become a tool for the defense.
When making the claim they can’t recall key events, targets in federal investigations can now argue that their memory lapses are no different from those of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, the fired U. S. attorney from New Mexico reflected yesterday.
Such are the depths to which the moral standing of the U. S. Department of Justice has sunk.
