Craig fights; GOP cringes

 

Despite it all — the gay sex allegations, the alienation from other Republicans and the ridicule on late-night comedy shows — Sen. Larry Craig is settling back in the Senate, capping a political resurrection that stems from a simple reality. 

The Idaho Republican proved more obstinate than the Senate leaders who sought to oust him. 
~That means Craig will be back at work this week and for the foreseeable future, seemingly impervious to the cold shoulders and negative editorials. He’s apparently not even flinching at the possibility of open public hearings into the charges that he engaged in lewd activity in a Minneapolis airport men’s room.
