Is anyone actually thinking about Obama’s words?
Below is part of an Obama speech. He talks about not “leaving half the country behind,” but what does that mean? Is anyone really thinking about these words he so eloquently puts together?
Is he going to both support and oppose equal rights for gay Americans? Is he going to support and oppose illegal immigration? Is he going to appoint both liberal and conservative judges? Is he going to support and oppose “free” trade?
Read this carefully and actually THINK.
And that is why the same old Washington textbook campaigns just won’t do in this election. An electoral strategy that starts out leaving half the country behind just won’t do. Telling the American people what we think they want to hear instead of telling the American people what they need to hear just won’t do. Triangulating and poll-driven positions because we’re worried about what Mitt or Rudy might say about us just won’t do. If we are really serious about wining this election Democrats, we can’t live in fear of losing it.
He talks of telling the American people what they need to hear, but when does he plan on telling us what we need to hear?
And the last statement sounds really good, but THINK about what he is actually saying. We shouldn’t fear losing? Really? He really thinks he’s going to tell people what they don’t want to hear and win?
He often says there’s not a conservative (red state) America and a liberal (blue state) America. There’s not? You got to be kidding me. What country is he living in? I wish what he is saying were true, but it’s just not. This country is polarized politically, and it has been on various issues for most of it’s history.
What we need is a strong leader that is willing to fight for what is right, and convince a majority of Americans to support it.
Wake up voters…daydreaming doesn’t accomplish anything but make your feel good while you’re doing it.

I was leaning towards supporting him. Then I too got to wondering what his words actually meant. Glad to know I’m not the only one.
