Clinton Has No Reason To Quit
The Morning News up in NWA this morning answers a question; “Clinton Has No Reason to Quit”. I concure wholeheartedly with their assesment.
Why won’t Hillary Clinton quit?
That’s a question that keep lurking around the edges of the Democratic Party’s presidential contest, with the unspoken but implied message that she somehow owes it to the party to end her campaign right now, if not sooner, and endorse Barack Obama.
If Democrats don’t stop all this internal bickering, join hands and unite behind Obama they’re throwing away the fall election.
So, why won’t Hillary Clinton quit?
It’s pretty simple. Even us poor, math-challenged journalists can do the ciphering on this one.
She won’t quit because she hasn’t lost.
She hasn’t lost, some argue, mostly because Obama hasn’t won. The senator from Illinois hasn’t been able to “close the deal” with his party’s voters. Every time it seems like Obama is on the verge of taking charge and making a persuasive case for Clinton’s polite withdrawal, he has stumbled or she has rallied.
