Who is the keeper here?
Wright’s Remarks Irrelevant
Is a presidential candidate his pastor’s keeper?
Is Barack Obama in any way “responsible” for the opinions of Rev. Jeremiah Wright?
Obama obviously doesn’t believe so - having denounced Wright’s most recent public performance as “a bunch of rants that aren’t grounded in truth.” and his campaign has to be hoping that voters will take Obama at his word.
….Turning a election into a contest of guilt-by-association attacks serves no earthly or heavenly good. We are electing a president, not selecting a pope, and no one on either side is going to be serving as chaplain-in-chief when the votes are counted in November and the smoke has cleared.
